Privacy Policy

FitTrack ("we", "us") provides calorie and nutrition tracking tools. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. By using FitTrack you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: email, password hash, optional display name.
• Health & fitness data you enter: age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goals, food logs, recipes, measurements, photos.
• Usage data: device type, pages visited, errors, basic analytics.
• Cookies: a session cookie keeps you signed in.

2. How we use it

• Operate the service (compute targets, render charts, save your diary).
• Send transactional emails (password reset, account changes).
• Improve the product (aggregated, non-identifying analytics).
• Provide AI features — your prompts and relevant context are sent to our AI provider strictly to generate responses; they are not used to train third-party models.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Infrastructure providers (database, hosting, email) acting under contract.
• Food databases (FatSecret, Open Food Facts) — only your search query, never identifying info.
• Authorities when legally required.

4. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from Settings → Account. Account deletion is permanent and removes your profile, diary entries, recipes, and measurements within 30 days.

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Backups expire within 30 days of deletion.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

7. Children

FitTrack is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA).

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
