FitTrack ("we", "us") provides calorie and nutrition tracking tools. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. By using FitTrack you agree to the practices described here.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: email, password hash, optional display name.
- Health & fitness data you enter: age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goals, food logs, recipes, measurements, photos.
- Meal photos and voice recordings you choose to submit for AI logging.
- Push notification subscriptions: a device token, browser identifier, and your reminder preferences, only if you enable reminders.
- Billing data: if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment and we store only your customer/subscription identifiers and plan status — never card details.
- Usage data: device type, pages visited, crash reports, and milestone events (for example, that you completed onboarding) used in aggregate.
- Cookies: a session cookie keeps you signed in.
2. How we use it
- Operate the service (compute targets, render charts, save your diary).
- Send transactional emails (password reset, account changes).
- Send push reminders to your device, only while you have reminders switched on.
- Improve the product (aggregated, non-identifying analytics) and diagnose crashes.
- Provide AI features — your prompts, and any meal photo or voice clip you submit, are sent to our AI provider strictly to generate a response; they are not used to train third-party models and are not retained by us beyond producing the result.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Infrastructure providers (database, hosting, email) acting under contract.
- AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI) for the AI features described above.
- Stripe, for payment processing and subscription management.
- Your browser's push service (for example Apple, Google, or Mozilla) to deliver reminders you enabled.
- Food databases (FatSecret, Open Food Facts) — only your search query, never identifying info.
- Authorities when legally required.
4. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from Settings → Account. Account deletion is permanent and removes your profile, diary entries, recipes, and measurements within 30 days.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Backups expire within 30 days of deletion.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.
7. Children
FitTrack is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA).
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
